Sorry I once took the couch for a spin. I just can't resist scratching. Totem looks nice and sturdy. That rope is very tempting for my nails. I also like that this scratching post is high enough for me to stretch out completely. My back could really use some stretching. And if I wear this scratching post out, you can simply order a new rope. You call that sustainable, I call it fun! Go ahead and pick a nice one.

Totem is definitely big enough! The scratching post is designed so that every cat can stretch out comfortably.

I just bought the Totem scratching post, but my cat is still scratching the couch. Why is that?

Sometimes your cat needs to learn that they're only allowed to use the scratching post for scratching. In this case, don't punish your cat, but take them off the couch and place them near the scratching post. This way, they learn where they're allowed to scratch and where they're not.
